March of 2010, Lumedyne introduces two new Chargers to compliment their international range of modernized Chargers for all sizes of Lumedyne Batteries. The Hyper Charge rate is twice as fast as the Quick rate and it runs at the same extremely fast rate for one or more Batteries where the older multi Chargers slowed down with more Batteries. One or more Medium Batteries now get completely charged in just 2 hours. The most exciting new feature is the seven light battery gauge! It shows the charge level of a Lumedyne Battery and helps prevent unhappy surprises on the job.

The best new feature of the Hyper Chargers is the built in Battery Gauge that shows the level of charge in the Battery that is connected to the meter’s six pin test plug. Not only can you confirm the charge level of the Batteries, but watching a Battery’s charge level while charging or after charging will indicate a weak Battery long before it becomes a problem. This combination of the Battery Gauge and the individual failure indicators gives the user an unprecedented amount of battery maintenance information. This avoids being caught with a charged up (but low performance) Battery while on location.

Both Hyper Chargers are the same size at 3x3x6.75 inches (7.6x7.6x17.2 cm). The Dual Hyper Charger, CH2U weighs only 0.85 lbs (0.39 kg) compared to the old CQ2Z which was 2.6 lbs. The Quad Hyper Charger, CH4U is only 1.1 lbs (0.5 kg) compared to the previous CT4Z at 3 lbs. One interchangeable standard AC power supply cord of about 6 feet (2 meters) long is included with the Charger and the country of compatibility is identified with the last letter of the Catalog number. For example “U” is the USA style cable in a CH2U.

In addition to using energy saving UL/CE style power supplies inside which work at any voltage, the Hyper Chargers are self protected from damage due to power line issues or from bad Batteries being attempted to be charged. There is also an indicator next to each charge jack that indicates a bad Battery or charging problem. This assures that the Charger will perform flawlessly for many years.

The retail list price of the Dual Hyper Charger CH2U is $249, and is $349 for the CH4U Quad Hyper Charger.

As of 2010, Lumedyne will only offer these new international Hyper Chargers.

These new Hyper Chargers both operate much faster than previous models and use modern technology to actually be healthier for the battery cells. The PEPI in every Battery built or updated since 2003 will turn on the green
